Panthers Elevate Reed After Coker Ruled Out for Lions Matchup
The Carolina Panthers elevated wide receiver Ja'Seem Reed from the practice squad on October 3, 2026, after star receiver Jalen Coker was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions. Coker, who suffered a quad injury in Week 3, was listed as questionable but ultimately deemed unlikely to play by ESPN's Adam Schefter. This move aligns with head coach Dave Canales' earlier statement that Reed would only be elevated if Coker could not participate. With Coker sidelined, Brycen Tremayne is expected to serve as the team's second wide receiver for the Sunday Night Football matchup.
