
King Charles knights Queen's Brian May as Sir at Buckingham Palace
King Charles III has knighted Brian May, co-founder of the rock group Queen, during an investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace. May, now formally known as Sir Brian May, was made a Knight Bachelor for his services to music and charity. Saxophonist YolanDa Brown was also honored at the ceremony. May previously performed "God Save the Queen" from the palace roof during a celebration of Queen Elizabeth II's Golden Jubilee in 2002 and was appointed as a Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2005.
