
Texas high school shooting sparks calls for gun law reform.
A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot and another student was injured outside Lamar High School in Arlington. The victim was identified as Jashawn Poirier. The 15-year-old suspect, who faces a capital murder charge, was arrested and taken to the Tarrant County Juvenile Detention Center. Surveillance footage reportedly showed the suspect firing a long gun into a crowd of students outside the school. The motive for the shooting is still under investigation.
