High-speed chase suspect apprehended after running across freeway and attempting carjacking.
A man accused of reckless driving led California Highway Patrol officers on a high-speed chase through Los Angeles County before being taken into custody. The chase reached speeds in excess of 100 mph before a successful PIT maneuver was performed on the vehicle in the Lebec area. The driver then ran across busy lanes of traffic on the 5 Freeway before being apprehended.
