Giuliani Surrenders Assets to Settle Defamation Case
Rudy Giuliani, former lawyer for Donald Trump, has agreed to surrender assets, including a Mercedes, to settle a $148 million libel case with election workers Ruby Freeman and Wandrea "Shaye" Moss, whom he defamed in 2020. Giuliani, who filed for bankruptcy, was ordered to compensate the workers after falsely accusing them of election fraud. He has begun complying with asset surrender but seeks to retain a Joe DiMaggio-signed jersey. The defamation case awarded the workers over $16 million each, plus additional damages.
