Teens Face Murder Charges After Fatal Egging Incident
Three teenagers in Georgia have been charged with malice murder after a prank egging of a house turned deadly. The teens targeted a house in Griffin, Georgia, on July 3, and when the homeowner confronted them, one of the teens retrieved a gun and shot him multiple times. The victim, Johnathan Gilbert, died at the scene. The teenagers are also charged with battery and criminal trespassing. Authorities have not provided a motive for the killing but mentioned an ongoing lovers' quarrel. If convicted, the teens could face life in prison or the death penalty.
