Marilyn Mosby, Ex-Baltimore Prosecutor, Found Guilty of Perjury
Former Baltimore prosecutor Marilyn Mosby has been found guilty of two counts of perjury for lying about her finances to withdraw $90,000 from her city retirement account under a pandemic relief program. Prosecutors argued that Mosby falsely claimed financial hardships to buy two homes in Florida, while her defense maintained that she qualified for the relief funds and believed she was eligible. The trial also focused on Mosby's travel business, Mahogany Elite Travel, which prosecutors claimed had no clients or revenue. Mosby could face up to five years in federal prison for each perjury count.
