Omar pushes bill to redirect ICE funding to local recovery
Rep. Ilhan Omar will introduce the Make ICE Pay Act, blocking roughly $140 billion in ICE/CBP funding and reallocating it to states, local authorities, nonprofits and small businesses affected by immigration enforcement, overseen by HUD’s inspector general over three years.
