Actress Sulochana Latkar, known for her roles in Marathi films, passed away at the age of 94. Her original name was Rangu Diwan, and she started her career as a junior artist playing inconsequential roles. However, in 1949, director Bhalji Pendharkar gave her the name 'Sulochana' while she was playing a role in 'Sasurvas', and it became so popular that Sulochana became known as a symbol of Marathi films' sophistication.
