Super Smash Bros. Ditches Fancy Cutscenes to Prevent Leaks, Confirms Sakurai
Masuhiro Sakurai, the creator of Super Smash Bros, revealed in a YouTube video that he stopped making fancy character reveal cutscenes in the game due to leaks. Despite putting a lot of effort into creating these cutscenes, they were being posted online before the game's release, diminishing their impact as rewards. Instead, Sakurai introduced Fighter Reveal Videos during Nintendo Directs and other events to maintain the excitement of character reveals. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate now boasts an extensive roster of characters, making it difficult for the franchise to expand further.
