'Jeopardy! Masters' Villain Takes Crown in Nail-Biter Finale.
James Holzhauer, the self-proclaimed "villain" of this season's "Jeopardy! Masters" tournament, won the grand prize of $500,000 and the inaugural Trebek Trophy. He outsmarted Mattea Roach, who came in second, and Matt Amodio, who placed third. Host Ken Jennings perpetuated a mock feud with Holzhauer and congratulated him on his win. Holzhauer and Jennings engaged in saucy nerd flirting, causing Roach to burst out laughing. Jeopardy! also donated $100,000 to the Las Vegas nonprofit Project 150.
