The core team of 30 developers behind Final Fantasy XVI were required to watch the full Blu-ray box set of Game of Thrones to replicate a similar mature and western vibe in the game. The developers at Square Enix wanted to create a game that resonated with a lot of people and drew inspiration from western media like Game of Thrones and God of War. The game features sex scenes, gore, and a Mature (17+) rating from the ESRB. Final Fantasy XVI is set to launch on June 22nd, exclusively for PlayStation 5.
