Armed Jan. 6 Rioter Arrested Near Obama's Home
A man, Taylor Taranto, was arrested near former President Barack Obama's residence with weapons in his van. Taranto had been acting erratically and making baseless claims, including investigating tunnels and espousing extremist beliefs. He was detained on charges related to the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol and was ordered to be held pending a detention hearing. Taranto had been living in a van and was part of a group supporting Jan. 6 detainees but was kicked out after showing a video of Ashli Babbitt's death. He was found with two guns, ammunition, and machetes in his van. Authorities believe he may be mentally unstable.
