Mercari Bans Sealed 30th Anniversary Pokemon Listings to Curb Scalping
Mercari, in collaboration with The Pokémon Company, has temporarily banned listings of sealed 30th Anniversary Pokémon TCG products—including booster packs, booster boxes, and Japan's First Partner Collections—to curb scalpers. Individual cards remain tradable. The ban starts with the set’s release and will continue until a safe trading environment can be maintained. The Pokémon Company and Mercari have partnered since 2023 to stabilize the secondary market; Yahoo Auctions has not imposed a similar ban.
