Crypto Attacks Result in Millions Lost to Scammers and Exploits
One of Ethereum's major MEV bots was attacked by a validator resulting in the loss of almost $20 million. The attack happened within one Ethereum block, with a validator forcing a series of transactions into the block to steal funds the bot had planned to gain by front-running. The attack has the potential to transform the MEV ecosystem as MEV extractors will be wondering which Ethereum validators are malicious. The stolen funds are spread across three wallets, with eight linked addresses being originally funded from Indian crypto exchange KuCoin.
