Binance Leaves Netherlands Due to Regulatory Hurdles
Binance will exit the Netherlands after failing to obtain regulatory approval to register under the Dutch crypto authorization regime. The company did not give a reason for the rejection. No new Binance users will be accepted onto the platform starting Friday, and from July 17, Binance will cease allowing users to buy tokens, trade, or make deposits, although its withdrawal function remains active. Binance has received approvals in France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Sweden, and Lithuania under the current regulatory regime, but this is set to change once the EU approves its Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) regulation.
