Potential Commanders Sale: Harris Group Offers $5.8 Billion
A group led by Josh Harris has proposed to buy the Washington Commanders for $5.8 billion upfront and an additional $250 million over two years. The purchase price would be reduced to about $6 billion discounting the $250 million. Harris would own 30% of the NFL team and be the managing partner, with 17 limited partners including Michael Rales and Magic Johnson. Forbes valued the Commanders at $5.6 billion in August.
