"Boston Mayor's Exclusive Party Deemed Lawful by Attorney General"
Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell has decided not to investigate Boston Mayor Michelle Wu's "electeds of color" holiday party after receiving four complaints alleging discrimination. The event, which was intended only for city council members of color, inadvertently invited all councilors, including those who are White. The AG's office stated that the event does not violate the public accommodation law as it was not open to the public. Mayor Wu has defended the event and clarified that there are multiple holiday parties inclusive of all elected officials.
