Klobuchar faces GOP outsiders in Farmfest governor showdown
At Farmfest, DFL Sen. Amy Klobuchar framed her candidacy on proven governance and a promised top-to-bottom state audit, while Republicans Lisa Demuth, Mike Lindell and Kendall Qualls pressed for an outsider-led reset on issues from immigration enforcement and fraud to permitting, healthcare costs and taxes. The round-robin format yielded few direct exchanges, and the debate served as Minnesota’s last pre-primary showcase ahead of the Aug. 11 primary.
