Second Philadelphia Jail Escapee Captured by Police
Ameen Hurst, a murder defendant accused of committing four homicides, was captured by U.S. Marshals in West Philadelphia on Wednesday morning, ending a 10-day search spanning three states. Hurst and Nasir Grant escaped from a Philadelphia jail on May 7 through a hole in a chain link fence. Grant was captured last week. Hurst's arrest came after one of his relatives got in touch with law enforcement to negotiate a surrender, but Hurst did not turn himself in. Three others have been charged with aiding in the breakout.
