Dolly Parton Seals Her Final Song in a Time Capsule for 2046 Debut
Dolly Parton buried a time capsule at Dollywood's DreamMore Resort in 2015 containing a brand-new song, 'My Place In History,' on cassette and CD to be released when the Dream Box is opened after Dollywood's 30th anniversary in 2045 and Parton’s 100th birthday in 2046 (the box is marked to open on January 19, 2046). She called the vault track a 'really good song' but acknowledged it might never be heard if it rots away. Parton has died after a brief cancer battle, with several posthumous projects in the works, including a Nashville museum/hotel, Purina endorsements, Cup of Ambition coffee, and a Broadway musical about her life.
