Amit Shah's Meeting with Manipur CM Biren Singh: Efforts to Restore Peace in Northeast
Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi to discuss the "evolving situation" in the state and said that the state and central governments have been able to control the violence to a "great extent". This comes a day after Amit Shah chaired an all-party meeting over the situation in Manipur, where he sought the cooperation of all political parties to help defuse the situation and restore peace and trust among various communities in the state.
