Newfane Man Charged with $230K+ Homeowner Scam
Nathaniel Wagner, a Newfane man, has been accused of scamming more than a dozen homeowners in Western New York out of over $230,000 through his fake offer of home improvement services. Wagner allegedly solicited large deposits upfront for work he never performed and failed to deliver materials he claimed to purchase with those deposits. Instead, he used the down payments on personal expenses, including vehicle repairs, child support, personal investments, and payments to family members. Wagner has been charged with 12 counts of third-degree grand larceny, two counts of second-degree grand larceny, and one count of scheme to defraud.
