LA NewsChopper Tragedy Takes Three: A Photojournalist, a Pilot, and a Bystander
Three people were killed when a NewsChopper 4 helicopter, operating for NBC Los Angeles, crashed in Chatsworth on Sept. 15 while covering a fatal bus crash. The victims were photojournalist Eliana Moreno and pilot George Marciniw, both associated with NBC4 and Telemundo 52, and bystander Edy Gutiérrez Mejia. The NTSB is investigating, reviewing maintenance records and analyzing pre-crash video to determine the cause.
