Miyamoto hints at new Super Mario game in future Nintendo Directs.
Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Mario, has confirmed that Nintendo is working on a new Mario game, but fans will have to wait for future Nintendo Directs for more information. Miyamoto previously stated in February that Nintendo is "always working on Mario," but the next big project is not yet ready to be unveiled. Some of the major 3D Mario games released on the Switch include Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury in 2021 and Super Mario Odyssey in 2017.
