Marvin Guy Found Guilty of Murder in Shooting of Detective
Marvin Guy has been found guilty of murder by a Bell County jury for the death of a police officer during a no-knock warrant in 2014. The raid resulted in gunfire, with four officers being struck, including Detective Charles "Chuck" Dinwiddie, who later died. Guy, who maintained he didn't realize it was the police breaking into his home, was charged with capital murder and attempted capital murder. The Killeen City Council subsequently banned no-knock warrants within its city limits. Sentencing is scheduled for November 27th.
