Nonprofit Venetoulis Institute Keeps Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Alive in Print

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette will be sold to the nonprofit Venetoulis Institute (which also runs the Baltimore Banner) and will continue printing twice weekly and online; the May 4 transfer ends Block Communications’ ownership and ushers in a new era for local journalism, with David Shribman joining the Venetoulis board after a period of labor disputes that included a 2022 newsroom strike.
