Arrest Made in Fatal Hit-and-Run on Providence's East Side
Providence police have arrested Caitlin Kelly, 27, in connection with a hit-and-run incident that resulted in the death of 85-year-old Vanda Makovetskiy. Kelly has been charged with duty to stop in accidents resulting in personal injury. The incident occurred on North Main Street and Doyle Avenue, and Makovetskiy died at Rhode Island Hospital. Kelly is currently being held pending her arraignment in Providence District Court.
