Tragic Oak Lawn Crash Claims Off-Duty Chicago Police Officer's Life
An off-duty Chicago police officer, identified as Edwin Espinoza, was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Oak Lawn. Espinoza's vehicle slid off the road and struck a tree, and he was pronounced dead at the hospital. He had joined the police department about a year ago and was assigned to the 15th District. The accident is currently under investigation by Oak Lawn police.
