Oklahoma hosts New Mexico at Gaylord Family–Oklahoma Memorial Stadium for Week 3, a 6:30 p.m. CT kickoff on ESPN2, as OU tries to rebound from a 17–10 loss to Michigan. The Lobos enter 2–0 and rank among the nation’s leaders in scoring (about 54 ppg) while also allowing few points (about 7 ppg). OU’s injury notes include Michael Fasusi’s uncertain status and the absence of receivers Jer’Michael Carter and Trell Harris, with several others listed as questionable, as the Sooners look to balance a more physical run game against a Lobos squad coached by Jason Eck. This game also tees up OU’s next road trip to Georgia and serves as a critical Week 3 test after recent offensive struggles.
