Massive Teenage Looting Spree in Philadelphia Leads to Multiple Arrests
More than a dozen people were arrested after stores were looted in Philadelphia's Center City district following peaceful protests against the dismissal of charges against a former police officer involved in a fatal shooting. The police commissioner stated that the looters were opportunists not directly connected to the protests. The looting began after the protests ended, and police responded quickly to reports of break-ins. The targeted stores included clothing and sneaker shops, high-end stores, wine and spirit stores, and pharmacies. Police are investigating the possibility of a caravan of vehicles involved in the looting. Video footage will be used to identify additional suspects, and police are determined to make more arrests.
