Ukraine Deploys Hybrid Ground-Launched Drones With 1,000-km Reach in Novorossiysk Strike
Ukraine used a mix of ground-launched drone-missile systems—Palianytsia, Peklo, Bars, and Long Neptune—in a strike on Russia’s Novorossiysk naval base that damaged four warships and infrastructure; Long Neptune reportedly has a 1,000 km range and is designed to strike deep behind enemy lines at a cost of under $1 million per unit. The operation demonstrates Kyiv’s shift toward hybrid missiles to disrupt Russian maritime logistics in the Black Sea as part of MoLoChKa.
