"College Board Stands Firm on AP Course Content Amidst Florida Regulations and Controversy"

The College Board has announced that it will not modify any of its 40 Advanced Placement (AP) courses to comply with Florida's new law banning classroom teachings involving sexual orientation and gender identity. The organization stressed the importance of including topics on gender and sexual orientation in its AP Psychology course, which the state may ban. The Florida Department of Education had asked the College Board to adjust AP classes to comply with the state law, but the board refused, saying it would not censor college-level standards for credit, placement, and career readiness.
