Cities Skylines 2 Faces Delays in Mod Support and Patch Releases
The developer of Cities Skylines 2, Colossal Order, has announced a delay in mod support and a slowdown in patch releases for the city-building game. The in-game editor and asset import feature are not yet available, causing frustration among mod makers. The console release date has been pushed to the first half of 2024, with the editor features in place but limited code modding and asset importing. Colossal Order is also working on performance improvements for both PC and console versions. The workload is significant, requiring longer development time for bigger fixes, resulting in less frequent updates.
