Michigan woman's body identified 43 years after Lake Erie discovery.
After 43 years, the body of a woman found on Lake Erie has been identified as Patricia Greenwood, who was from a family of 12 children given up for adoption throughout Michigan. She was 32 years old when she disappeared and may have been a sex worker. Police are considering her death a possible homicide due to significant injuries to the right side of her body, including a broken femur and pelvis. The identification was made possible through DNA testing funded by the nonprofit Porchlight Project.
