Binance's chief strategy officer, Patrick Hillmann, has confirmed his departure from the embattled crypto exchange, stating that it is on good terms. Hillmann's departure comes amid ongoing investigations by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) into Binance's policies for tackling illegal finances. Two other executives, the general counsel and the SVP for compliance, have also announced their departure. Binance and its CEO, Changpeng Zhao, were charged by the SEC in June for alleged securities violations and commingling of funds. Hillmann's departure marks the end of his two-year stint at the exchange.
