iPhone Duo Opens the Door to Apple Pencil, with Important Limits
Apple is adding Pencil support to the iPhone Duo via an upcoming iOS 27.x update, but only the USB-C Apple Pencil will work and it must be plugged in to charge. Pencil 2 and Pro won’t be supported, and non-Duo iPhones still don’t get Pencil support. The Pencil works on both screens of the Duo, but it lacks advanced features (pressure sensitivity, double-tap, haptics, Find My) and may cost extra (roughly $79 for the USB-C Pencil). Future Pencil refreshes could bring better compatibility for the iPhone.
