Manhattan DA's Office Pushes Back Against GOP's Unprecedented Request for Alvin Bragg's Testimony on Trump Probe
The Manhattan District Attorney's office has called a request from House Republicans for Alvin Bragg to testify about his probe and expected indictment of former President Donald Trump "an unprecedented inquiry into a pending local prosecution." The DA's general counsel, Leslie Dubeck, questioned congressional authority to look into Bragg's investigation and said that Congress is not the appropriate branch to review pending criminal matters. Dubeck did, however, agree to submit a letter describing the use of federal funds in the investigation.
