
"Elementary School Teacher Arrested for Alleged Drunkenness on the Job"
A third-grade teacher, Kimberly Coates, was arrested for allegedly being drunk on the job during the first day of school at Perkins-Tryon Intermediate School in Perkins, Oklahoma. Coates was found to be three times over the legal limit and was confronted by officers and administrators. She initially blamed anxiety medication but later admitted to drinking alcohol on the way to work. Coates was eventually removed from the school and booked for public intoxication. The school district is conducting an internal investigation.
