Marathon's December Symbiosis: Permanent PvE, Social Space, and More
Marathon is shifting its update plan: the content originally slated for September will roll out with the December 8 Symbiosis update, which adds the first permanent PvE experience, a refreshed Perimeter, a social space with a firing range, a new Runner shell, and an experimental PvP Team Deathmatch, along with improved onboarding. An October 6 update will reset progression and the in-game economy, refresh rewards, and improve the live game, while eight weeks of Gameplay experiments and ongoing dev insights will shape the future as the team moves away from strict seasonal deadlines.
