Fans of Persona 5 are disappointed that Goro Akechi, the game's main antagonist and most compelling character, is missing from the newly announced spin-off game, Phantom of the Night. Akechi's tragic backstory and social interactions with the protagonist in Persona 5 Royal made him a deeply troubled friend rather than just a shithead cop. Fans are hoping that Atlus will remember who he is and include him in future spin-off games.
