Phils roll past Diamondbacks 7-1, extend six-game win streak
The Phillies cruised to a 7-1 win at Chase Field behind Jesus Luzardo’s 6.2 innings of solid work, extending their six-game road winning streak, moving within three games of the NL East lead and padding their wild-card cushion to six. Key early offense came from a Schwarber leadoff walk and Turner RBI double, with Harper adding a bunt single and Bohm delivering runs later in the game. Bohm doubled to start the ninth as part of a late scoring push, and Harper’s on-base streak reached 34 games. Luzardo allowed a solo homer in the fifth but otherwise held Arizona in check; Bowlan and Shugart finished the final innings. The Phils go for the sweep tomorrow with Andrew Painter set to pitch.
