Plantation police have revealed that Jean Carlos Aponte, suffering from PTSD, killed his wife and 2-year-old son before attempting suicide. The couple's troubled marriage was marked by arguments and mistrust, with evidence of a recent altercation captured on a baby monitor. Aponte, a Marine Corps veteran, had a history of anger outbursts and was found unconscious from an overdose at the crime scene. He has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and is now in custody.
