Former police oversight commissioner, Jude Walton, was found dead in her Ann Arbor home, prompting a homicide investigation. There were signs of a possible break-in, and a cause of death has not been announced. Walton was the commissioner of Ann Arbor's Independent Community Oversight Commission and had worked as director of employee experience at Avalon Housing. The commission said they were "extremely saddened" by her death.
