
Meghan Trainor's Pregnancy Journey: From Gender Reveal to Postpartum PTSD
Singer Meghan Trainor has revealed that she was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after experiencing a difficult childbirth. Trainor said she could still feel the pain of the cesarean section months later and was sometimes convinced she was still in the hospital. About 9% of women experience postpartum PTSD, according to Postpartum Support International. Symptoms can include flashbacks or nightmares, irritability, hypervigilance, anxiety or panic attacks. Trainor is currently pregnant with her second child and has written a book about pregnancy and early motherhood.
