Indicted Pro-Trump Electors in Nevada: Third State to Issue Charges
A Nevada grand jury has indicted six Republicans who falsely claimed to be presidential electors in the 2020 election and submitted certificates to Congress asserting that Donald Trump had won in their state. This makes Nevada the third state, after Georgia and Michigan, to issue charges against pro-Trump electors. The indictments, which include charges of offering a false instrument for filing and uttering a forged instrument, were filed on the three-year anniversary of the electors' meeting. Investigations into electors are also underway in Arizona and New Mexico. The indictments come as part of efforts to defend democracy and challenge attacks on the electoral process.
