"Son of Police Officer with History of Homophobia Kills in Pride Flag Attack"
Travis Ikeguchi, the son of a police officer, fatally shot a Californian woman outside her store over a Pride flag display. Ikeguchi had a history of homophobia and made disparaging remarks about the rainbow flag before the shooting. He was later located and killed by deputies. Ikeguchi had expressed his disapproval of the LGBTQ+ community and law enforcement on social media. His hatred may have stemmed from his parents' divorce, particularly his father.
