Dublin to host public farewell for Glen Hansard
Irish musician Glen Hansard, frontman of The Frames and Oscar winner for Once, died in a car crash after a pub session in County Dublin. A public wake will be held at IMMA's Baroque Chapel in Kilmainham on Monday from 11:00 to 16:00, followed by his funeral at St Patrick's Cathedral on Tuesday at 13:30 (with limited access inside). Tributes flowed from peers such as Ed Sheeran, Bruce Springsteen and Barack Obama, and a memorial busk was held in Dublin as the city prepares to say farewell.
