Apex Legends Implements Mid-Season Masters+ Hard Reset to Restore Ladder Health
Apex Legends’ developers announced a hard reset for Masters+ across NA, EUW, EUNE, BR, LAN, and TR at Patch 26.9 (Season 2). All Masters/Grandmaster/Challenger players will be set to Master 0 LP to restore ladder integrity after a volatile start to the season. LP gains will be around ±30 baseline with typical ranges of +35/−25 or +25/−35, and minimum LP cutoffs will rise to 800 for Challenger and 400 for Grandmaster. Season 1 rewards will be issued as usual, with Season 3 serving as a reconciliation pass for Season 2 rewards; higher Season 3 ranks will count toward Season 2 rewards. The regional reset aims to stabilize the ladder over months, acknowledging short-term matchmaking tradeoffs.
