Chicago Police Officer Killed, Colleague Critical After Ravenswood Hospital Shooting
A robbery suspect shot two Chicago police officers at Endeavor Health Swedish Hospital in Ravenswood, killing Officer John Bartholomew, 38, and leaving a 57-year-old officer in critical condition. Both officers are from the 17th District; a weapon was recovered and the suspect was taken into custody. Hospital staff and patients were unharmed, and the investigation is ongoing.
